How do you explain the Nash trade if it's a buyer market? Look to me like there is a lot of buyers out there and not much to sell. Not saying Kane will get that much, but I think you're wrong anyway.

The Nash trade is a matter of quantity over quality.

1. A late 1st round pick ( 25-31 overall)
2. 7th rounder
3. Belesky? Stuck in the minors but making 4M. Salary dump
4. Spooner? Decent 3rd line player
5. Lingren? Former 2nd round pick. NCAA kid. If he does make it, looks like 5/6 guy

The only thing of importance was the 1st overall pick. Spooner is replaceable, maybe on a rebuilding team he can get top 6 minutes and maybe the Rangers and swap him for some assets at next year's dead line. Lindgren is b level prospect. Everything else isn't worth talking about.

I also think Nash was more valued throughout he league then Kane.
